Turkiye’s imports from Switzerland were valued at $3.05 billion in 2021, according to trade statistics. On the other side, Switzerland imported $1.25 billion worth of goods from Turkey during that time. Imports of Turkish goods from Switzerland rose in 2022 compared to 2021. The trade between the two nations, which are separated by only around 2000 kilometres, has increased significantly.

According to the trade data that is underrepresented, imports from Switzerland to Turkey have decreased during the last five years. Following 2017, import values decreased the following year, increased from the next and kept rising until 2020, when they stood at a decreased value of $3 billion.

Türkiye’s Quarterly Imports From Switzerland
The representation of Turkey’s import statistics below shows the imports from Switzerland in quarterly numbers. $1.2 billion was recorded in the first quarter of 2021, however there was a steady decline throughout the year. The values started to rise in 2022 and reached $2 billion in Q2 of that year.

The first quarter of 2022 saw imports at $861.74 million, and the second quarter saw an increase of $1.22 billion, reaching an impressive import value of $2 billion. The infographic above demonstrates that the values in 2022 have increased.
Adding the imports from the first and second quarters together, the total value of imports in 2021 came to $1.87 billion. Combining the imports during the first and second quarters of 2022, the total import value was $2.95 billion.
When compared to the preceding quarter of 2021, the values for each quarter of 2022 exhibit considerable variations. While there was a decline in imports of $352.5 million in the first quarter of 2022, there was a sharp increase of $1.4 billion in the second quarter.
